Healing the Hurt located in Jonesboro, GA is a community program that works with non profit agencies, community organizations, ministries, and other programs that focus on family restoration. Our goal is to bring agencies together to provide better resources and services to better serve families in crisis, in our communities.
As Counselors our mission is to provide services that heal the whole person, by not putting a band-aid on the wound, but going deep enough to guide clients to the truth that sets us Free. By working together with other agencies, we are better able to help hurting people regain control of their lives.  We partner with social workers, parents, counselors, ministry leaders, and those who sincerely care about family restoration and healing.

"As God moves us forward, and we stand on His promises, we look forward to a year filled with purpose using our Gifts from God to bless and serve others. Bringing agencies and people together for a common cause, Healing, serving, and offering resources that help hurting people regain control of their lives."
"Good things fall apart so that Great things can come into place"
At Healing the Hurt, we understand the value of the family unit.  We pride ourselves in providing services and resources for total family restoration. This is accomplished through:
-- completing assessments to understand the underlying causes of dysfunction in the family
-- identifying anger, fear, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, and mental challenges
Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and other modalities, we conduct workshops, positive support groups, and psycho-educational groups for adolescents and teens.  We provide parenting classes, and individual and family therapy.

Included in our programs are special services advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault victims.  We present forums for communicating through our fundraising events:  HerStory, HisStory and Crimes Against Children where we invite leaders and experts in the field to come together to find strategies and ways of executing solutions to the problems in our community to give children and victims a voice.

This program Provides services to families in crisis for total restoration. Our team of domestic violence and sexual assault advocates, counselors, and social workers facilitate workshops, support groups, and training forums.   Our goal is to provide our participants with tools to conquer fears, and promote well being while educating them on the related topics.  This is done weekly, monthly and quarterly; and presented by professionals in their fields.  Family restoration is done by providing services that will heal the entire family.  We understand that in order for the family to function as a unit, it must also heal as a unit, since every member is affected in some way.
